Pride Month, each June, is a time to recognize the contributions of LGBTQI+ people to society and to promote respect for their human rights.

“We come together to celebrate the progress we’ve made and to acknowledge there is still so much work to be done" to advance the human rights of LGBTQI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex) persons, says Special Envoy Jessica Stern.

In the United States, the movement for the rights of LGBTQI+ people has taken place over decades. Test your knowledge of this history by using the up-and-down arrows to place milestones in chronological order.
